About my Photography Prints

Landscape photography for me has always been a way of enjoying photography away from commercial work and commissioned projects. A way of challenging myself and my ability as well providing a reason to get out and explore.

It’s a form of photography that has no brief apart from to enjoy being outside and take photos. My only goal is to capture the mood and atmosphere of the scene and have it translate in an image or print.

Over time, it became a way to fill our home with images of places we love and to create our own art.

It wasn’t until I had a number of people get in touch with me on social media asking where they can get hold of my photography prints that I decided I would create a simple shop where you can order prints and framed art of my landscape photography.

Print quality is paramount.

The hurdle of setting up a print shop for me was finding the right printing company. High quality printing was paramount for me to have the confidence to offer my photography as print products.

This lead me to spending a lot of my time (and money) into test printing with a number of different printing companies.

After many disappointing attempts, I finally landed The Print Space who provided incredible C Type printing quality, a competitive cost and complete carbon neutrality (more on that below).

I have such confidence in the print quality that I provide complete refunds or replacements any customer who aren’t completely satisfied with their print.

C Type Printing

All photography prints on my shop are all the highest possible quality C Type prints.

What is a C Type print? Good question. Put simply, its the closest thing to a film exposure you can get with digital photography. Silver halide photographic paper is exposed to LED or laser projection of the original digital image file, resulting in a print quality that far surpasses lower cost printing processes.

Each of the print products I offer have been matched to a photographic paper stock that I feel best suits the image. Don’t forget to check the description to see what stock each image has been matched with.

Carbon Neutrality

Finding a printing company that was carbon neutral was harder that you might imagine, however it was essential to launching a guilt free print shop.

My supplier, The Print Space have eliminated the use of plastics wherever they can, and the plastics they do use are fully recyclable. All packaging is either recycled tubes or sleeves. The tape is made from 100% recycled fibres, the nomafoam strips from polyethylene derived from sugar canes, the bubble wrap is biodegradable.

Last but not least they have a program of investing in renewable energy projects in order to offset all of their carbon emissions, achieving complete carbon neutrality.

Too good to be true? Well, just take a look at their statement and Carbon Footprint report by clicking here.

Simple, standardised ‘A’ sizes

Although it seems silly, finding the right frame for your print can be a headache. Checking back and forth between measurements of prints and frames. In order to simplify things, all prints have been sized to the ISO 216 international standard - A.K.A the ‘A’ sizes.

‘A’ size frames are easily available online from Amazon for example or if you fancy something a bit more bespoke then custom frames can be ordered from other sites such as eframe.
