Our Studio Spaces
We’re based in ‘The Picture House’, a 1915 former cinema building which has been converted into a number of photographic, video production studios and modern office spaces. We have dedicated large photography and video production studios, editing space, breakout areas and a miniature ‘living room’ set.
Our edit booth is an acoustically treated, enclosed room separated from the studio. Featuring a powerful workstation computer capable of Raw 8K video editing utilising it’s 24GB RTX 3090, the latest Eizo ColorEdge CG319X 31.1" Color managed LCD Monitor, KRK nearfield studio monitors and access to ultrafast 1Gbps upload/download uncontested fibre internet connection. Being immediately next to the studio means creative teams can work quickly in capturing content and then rapidly reviewing to confirm rushes on a powerful and accurate workstation without the need to bring their own system into the studio, saving valuable time and expense.
Our main studio has a large shooting area of 10m(d) by 15m (w). It features a large infinity cove with floating ceiling 6m (d) x 7.5m (w). A fitted kitchen with moveable island and a large Green Screen Cyc measuring 6.5m x 4.9m.
Our second studio has a 6.2m x 8m shooting space, a 2.3m x 4.8m self contained editing suite with acoustic treatment, a 3.2m x 4m living room set and fitted kitchen.
The space has been designed specifically to able to maximise the quality and quantity of content that you can capture in one shoot day. From shooting product photography and video in the large studio space to swiftly being able to capture lifestyle shots or talking heads in the ‘living room’ set. Each space can be quickly redesigned and adjusted to fit the needs of each production.
The Story
In February 2021 we acquired the amazing Pro Studio Hire facility in Bournemouth. Former owner Andy Cahill established ‘The Picture House’ over 26 years ago and it has become a creative hub not just for photographers and filmmakers, but many other successful companies and businesses. ‘The Picture House’ now becomes part of the family run business Delahunty Property Management, with my parents-in-law Lisa and Simon Delahunty at the helm of the family run business. Together we look after the building and studios, ensuring they are open to creatives and businesses looking for a unique space to call home for their companies.
Our main goal is to expand what this space can offer to content creators, photographer and filmmakers. By listening to feedback from the creative community we hope to adapt the space and offer a studio that serves our clients in the best way possible. We’re also looking at simplified ways of understanding costs in order to make it easy for producers to costs projects.
Andy leaves behind an amazing legacy with The Picture House and Pro Studio Hire, which we intend on helping to grow and thrive.
